European celebrity Antoine de Caunes exploring Seoul for French Channel Canal Plus
Famous French anchorman Antoine de Caunes explored the unknown treasures of the Korean capital and Korean culture in the feature documentary
Maboul de Seoul for French Canal+, one of Europe's largest pay TV channels.
Together with his director and producer partner Peter Stuart, Caunes previously featured other cities, like New York in En tatanes àManhattan (2012), Barcelona in Baba de Barcelone(2011), Berlin in En Berline a Berlin (2009), and Los Angeles in Allez à L.A.! (2008).
This time, Caunes and Stuart came to discover what the capital of Korean pop culture has to offer. Antoine explored Noryangjin Fish Market;
a restaurant in Yeoksam-dong; covered the famous Lantern Parade in Jongno during Buddha's birthday; ex-perienced Buddhist culture at Jinkwansa Temple in northern Seoul; performed Korean mask dance at Deoksugung Palace;
And Antoine learned to make kimchi at Bongwoori, and after a single bite of Kimchi, he's shouting "Kimchi Warrior!"
If you have not heard of Kimchi Warrior yet, then think of it as the Korean Version of Popeye. Well not exactly, but Kimchi Warrior has done to kimchi what Popeye has done to spinach. Based on the premise of Popeye, Kimchi Warrior obtains supernatural strength by consuming the most prominent Korean dish, kimchi, to defend mankind from the world’s most notorious diseases like The Swine Flu, Mad Cow Disease, Malaria, SARS etc.
interviewed the B-boy crew T.I.P. and practiced "Gangnam style" with Little PSY in Gangnam; experienced Korea's popular bath-house culture at Siloam Sauna in central Seoul; and explored Seoul's famous nightlife in Gangnam, Hongdae, Sinchon, and Itaewon.
Maboul de Seoul is scheduled to premiere on French pay TV channel Canal+ in December 11, 2013.

Canal+ TV, Le Grand journal- 앵커이기도 한 안튜완 드 코는 12월 11일 20시55분 런던, LA, 베르린, 도쿄, 바르셀로나, 뉴욕에 이어 한국의 수도인 서울을 가이드 및 소개하는 새로운 다큐를 소개한다.
안투완 드 코느는 카날+ TV 유료구독자들에게 깜짝 선물을 준비했다. 그는 런던, LA 다큐이후, 베를린에서 승용차를, 웃기는 도쿄, 바바의 바르셀로나, 맨해튼에서 신발에 이어 “서울 열병”이라는 타이틀로 다시 등장한다.
앵커는 한국먹거리, 성형수술, 유명한 K Pop를 특히 세계적으로 유명한 “강남스타일”로 유명한 가수 싸이와 함께 시청자들에게 소개한다. 안투완 드 코느 다큐 끝 부분에서 다양한 사람들 만나게 되는데 그 중에 토끼 뜀 그리고 배추 춤들이 선보인다.
김치 만드는 방법도 배우며, 만든 김치를 시식하며 외친다. "김치워리어!"

주 내용은 김치를 먹음으로써 신종플루와 광우병을 비롯한 각종 질병을 물리친다는 내용입니다.
김치뿐만이 아니라 태권도, 거북선 등과 같은 우리의 문화와 유산들을 내용에 소개하고 있습니다.
